Sorry, forgot about this thread for a little bit. Yeah, I know, I'm a b*tch.

My episode went something like this:

$134 for mount and balance. They charged me $10 for tire disposal even though there were no tires to dispose of (used same tires, new wheels). Then they couldn't find the wheel lock key (where it went, I do not know, I bought my car used only about a month ago).

So my dealer (Pohanka) is just down the street from this place. They don't have a new set of wheel locks in stock so they have to bring over 4 regular luts so that Curry's can cut the existing wheel locks.

So they charge me $50 for that additional labor plus $34 for the lugs (were they really that much? Who knows, I never saw the receipt for those! :bitching: ). I didn't see the Pohanka guy who delivered the lugs.

Anyway, in the end, it ended up costing me $225. I'm trying to get some of that reimbursed by Lexus b/c they sold me a car without a wheel lock key.

They are very friendly people and they are moving to a new location in Chantilly (which would alleviate the noise problems waiting in their current shop). I just think they over-charge...

Man, that's crazy! Pohanka really should reimburse you.

Do you know where Curry's is moving to? Parking is a b*tch there. Again, not sure if I'll ever take my car there again. It is convenient location wise but I maybe go back to Ultimate Performance (formerly cdeMotorsports).

4U2,

I think it's only a mile away from their current location off of Rt. 50 - where exactly I don't know. Supposedly they're moving this month!

Where is this Ultimate Performance you speak of and where in NOVA do you live?

Cool.

I'm just off of Stringfellow. How do you like the new Fairfax Corners theater right by you? It's awesome - saw Return of the King there but that's about it thus far.

Do you go to the local meets? I'm a new owner so my answer to that question is a no.

Does anyone have any positive/negative inputs about this place?

Shocks and rotor/pads

The one auto shop that I went to told me that their insurance did not cover aftermarket products

Altered Atmosphere can do those installs...however, i wouldn't suggest them since they dont work to much on Lexus's. SRT might be a better choice...they work on Lexus's all day long.

I suggest you get some local IS folks to assist you with the install. Can you say FREEBIE*? Shock/springs and pads/rotors are all easy to do.
