Friend of mine on ferrarichat directed me to this thread, said the "kid" sounded familiar. Small world....
My Dad bought a brand new Toyota Supra back in 1994, caused me to fall in love with cars. He offered to sell me the car at a very cheap price when I was to turn 16 so I began working for him at his restaurant making $7/hour in 2003. I signed up on Supraforums and learned about the aftermarket world of car parts. I started buying parts but at $7/hour and having to pay for the Supra albeit a discounted price it got pretty expensive. So I ended up investing $1,000 into an online store to get wholesale pricing from vendors which would help. Surprisingly my site kicked off really well, I started selling to a few people on supraforums and as it grew to other communities I was shipping parts all over the world. By 2005 I made the decision of leaving high school to continue expanding my business. In 2006 we merged with industry powerhouse MVP Motorsports and I moved to TX to work with them. In January of 2008 I moved back to Oklahoma and I now own and operate a small car lot. Through-out the years I've tried other business ventures from insulation, a pizza parlor, to stocks and options. Some have failed and cost me countless dollars, others have done really well. Overall they've taught me countless lessons which I value the most.
Could I have done it by myself? Not at all. I had the support of family and friends through-out the whole process and parents who were open minded enough to let me follow my own dreams instead of pigeon holing me into what they thought would be best for me. I could not have done it without the motivation of those around me and I still feel that my friends and family are the most amazing resource I have.
I hope that clears up some of your concerns and I'd be happy to dismiss any confusion or answer any other questions you may have.
I'm going auto-x'ing once a month and to the track twice a month to feed my need for speed.
Plus it's 10x more fun to cruise around the college campus at 15mph in my Ferrari trying to get phone #'s as opposed to speeding.
nice man!
welcome to the forums. stick around, i think you'll find this part of the site pretty chill. any plans on your next car?

I have a car lot so I'm constantly experiencing new cars so I haven't had the desire to buy anything. I'm consistently excited by driving new inventory around. (M3, Z06, CTS-V, 911 Turbo, R Series Jaguars, etc)
The only thing I could imagine is that if I was financially ready for it and the Ferrari F40's dropped to low $300,000 within the next couple of years I would pull the trigger but it'd be more of an investment then acquiring a car. The F40's for the last two decades have consistently skyrocketed and dropped in the same cycle. It'd always retain its value as opposed to the way Wall St. and Real Estate are, if I have excess
Welcome to the site. May you have many more success with your business ventures. Please feel free to post any or in your case many of your cars in The Garage.

You certainly have a mature mindset and a seemingly good head on your shoulders.
Welcome to the site. I hope you stick around.
And I wasn't implying you would be the next Nick Hogan, so I apologize for that confusion.

good choice!
you're right though, those f40's never seem to depreciate in their value. care to post pics of your 355?
hey, might i add, why did you choose the 355 over the 360 modena? and you look a lot more mature than thought
The F355 looks better, sounds better, it doesn't get mistaken for a C6 Corvette, and it only has 25hp less.
The F355 is the ultimate driving experience, I can't describe the feeling of driving a F355 it's one of the most amazing things in the world. It's just such a special experience. When I drove a 360 for a week it was a good experience but it was no different than a Z06, 911 turbo, or similar sports car. The F355 in my opinion is the last real Ferrari made. The 599, 360, F430, and 612 are to be respected for their speed and the technology is just so far ahead of its time but the cars lack any soul. The F355 makes my heart skip a beat and takes my breath away, something every modern Ferrari fails to do. (with the exception of the Enzo)
Welcome to the site. Please, stick around and share your experiances with us. Glad to have you on board. Nice car collection you have their. Congratulations, and may you be successful in the future.
