wouldn't this be based on holograms?

if so, they just learned how to do to it not too long ago. i don't see this as a logical thing to do since drivers should be focused on the road. i highly doubt we'll see anything like this for some time.

no I think it uses refracters in the lense to change the image you see depending on the angle you are at. Like those baseball cards that look like the dude is swinging as you turn it.

ohh i see what you're talking about now.

yea that could work. at the driver side angle, he would see the navigation screen/info and on the passenger side, they would see something else. cool idea.

^^exactly.. then the hack will be be for both images to display for the driver

if what -tom- is talking about is correct, it's not what is being portrayed on the screen, but what the actual screen is made up of.

I don't think MB came up with this. I went to a focus group for a diff. auto maker and they were showing this technology in person....over a year ago I think. The car I saw is due out in 2011 I believe. Pretty sweet technology.
