It's official. The 335d is coming to the US!
2009 BMW 3 Series Official Release for the U.S Market
Quote:
In an official press release today, BMW has announced what we already knew for months: the BMW 335d will be released this year in the U.S. Taking advantage of BMW's EfficientDynamics technology, the 335d will be the first 3er to be released on U.S soil.
The new diesel engine has been accepted in all the 50 U.S states and it produces 265 horsepower and an amazing peak torque of 425 lb-ft, going from 0-60 mph in 6.0 seconds, with 6-speed automatic transmission.
Along with the new engine, the 3 Series sedan and wagon will receive a facelift, in forms of new headlights and taillights design, signal mirrors and redesigned fascia. The LED Xenon headlights are a very welcome upgrade, expected by all the bimmer fans. The taillights keep the typical L-shape and they contain the LED lighthing sources.
The new iDrive system will also be present in the new 3 Series facelifts, along with an 80GB hard drive for the navigation system. No mention of the ConnectedDrive system, other than a slight reference to it on the third page.
BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive will be available in the 328i and 335i sedan, along with JUST the 328i xDrive Sport Wagon(sorry guys, no 335i sport wagon for us).
Three new metallic paint colors will are being introduced: Space Gray, Tasman Green and Blue Water.
