Lisnup, although I'd love to buy a Compustar RS/alarm for my car, I'm a little strapped for cash and have a Clifford Autopage sitting in my closet at home, would it be worth it to have that installed? Will that alarm/RS even work in a MT Is300, and is the system any good?
Check the manual! See if it has a standard Transmission option. If it does not then DO NOT use it!

i have a '03 5-speed IS300 and currently have the new LMS remote start (for MT) with integrated sense-o-shock but i have no idea how to install it. according to the operating instructions i AM able to unlock the doors with the key after turning on the engine. lisnup are you familiar with this unit and do you do installs?
dei has an alarm out now that is awsome and will work on a stick.
The only issue with (R.S) on sticks is how you set them. you set them before you turn off the car then the car stays on till you get out and close the door to the car. this is telling the (R.S) that the car cant be left in gear.
also if you dont want to go with that (R.S) you can have your installer install a magnet switch around the shifter so if its in neutral it will start the moment its in gear it will de-activate the (R.S).
also they have two modules out right now so you dont have to give up a key one of them is a lexus/toyota bypass module a dei 555xw i believe is the model number. this module only requires one key to program. the other one is made by installer essentials i believe that the model is pkall and this will require to keys to program. once program is done customer can have keys back no need to leave in module......

DEI now owns the people who make the PKALL. From what I've heard, the firmware for "connection type 8" (the one used for is300s) is screwed and doesn't work. Apparently they're working on a fix but I haven't heard any ETA.

dei owns everything lol
yea i believe they do own them but they still have there own website. i havnt personally used this yet so i dont know how the pkall works
i have used the xk modules and they are hard to understand but once you know they are awesome.
what are most people running for the module, the only ones i know of is 555xw or the 556uw
I'm running a Viper 5901 RS and Alarm system with Manual Transmission and it works great. Doors unlock and everything just fine. Has remote defrost and temp gauge as well.

First thing you want to do is get a second master key. If you have only 1 of those and you loose it, it'll cost you about $1,200 for a new ECU to get new keys working with engine immobilizer. Sorry, don't know much about pkall module.

Save yourself some more $ and use a PKT instead of the PKALL. Contact me if interested. PKT you need just 1 master key. You cannot use a valet key for programming.

Sorry if i'm a little slow, but heres the question... "so is it possible to still use all the functionalities of the Stock key: door lock, unlock, trunk... and have a separate remote just for the Remote Start? It would not effect the Lexus stock key and functions at all? THanks...

The factory remote shuts off when the car is started, so you will want a remote that at least unlocks the door when the car is running. Automate makes a 1 button, the AM6.2, that will do that for you.
lisnup i tried to see the link on adding a sensor to the stock alarm system but its not working do you have any other link?i would like to keep the original car alarm just want the sensors for the windows to scare thieves away from peeking at my aftermarket radio
