I just spoke with him, asking if they had resolved the issue. And he informed me that my chip (second one) was already sent and I should get it shortly. I'm assuming anyone who e-mailed him initially with issues will be getting the latest chip automatically.
I received my chip and installed it right away. first thing I tried was the headlight issue, Resolved!.. I will update later today if I notice anything else.
Well Im happy to say that so far I have not experienced any issues with my new chip. I have been driving around with my lights on AUTO since noon today. I even tried the ON/OFF sequence for about 2mins to see if anything would happen but my Ipod picked up right from where it left off each and every time. I will post more updates.
Thanks Sonnet for this info and also the link to indash + rep
this might seem like a silly question but what is a Car PC?

Lately I heard from one guy that Grom will release a new version of the interface in februar 2008 which will solve all these issues like:
- not working on some IS Radios
- not working all the time
- not sending a stop signal to the iPod when switching of the ignition
- and so on
Under the following link you find a special forum where you can adress grom issues directly, due to the reason that the manufacturer om the GromBox is a member of the board

Question:
I ordered the grom audion (hon1a) for my 07 ridgeline and hooked it up...wether I use an mp3 player or a portable dvd player the volume is way too low. I have to turn up the volume to max on both devices and the truck stereo to just hear it. When I switch input back to fm or cd, it is deafening, any advice on the volume?
Answer from jbors:
I think there is an issue with the audio chip. We will send you replacement.
Indash PC is one of the distributors from GromAudio, so it could be valuable to place a question there.
had the day off on friday so i finally got around to installing my 3rd chip. It still hit or miss. but whatever. im over it. i just turn off/ restart the car if i want to use the adapter. anyone have better luck with the latest chip? know if they're working on a new/ 4th chip?
I haven't received my 3rd chip yet, but my GROM unit has recently taken a crap. When using it, my left speakers don't work... I don't know what happened, but just started doing this one day and now it always does it when using the GROM unit, normally playing CD's and the radio all speakers work fine...
I'm hoping the 3rd chip fixes this, I'm a little disappointed... I was fine with the headlight trick and it worked fine, but now I can't even use it...
