I got confirmation from Nick that I'm getting the BM prototype very soon. I'd build the enclosure in advance but I really have no idea what the mounting diameter is so I can't do it till I find out the exact measurement for myself. One thing's for sure though. When it gets here Matt and I are going to have a field day testing it!

Nick's a perfectionist. He wasn't going to release it till he was sure it was perfect. The wait has been a bit annoying but I know it will be worth it once it's out.

yeah i'm glad he is making it perfect. Keep me posted on it. I need the low profile. I know it will be good with your hand in it.
Good news everybody. The BM prototype will be at my door on Wednesday! The woofer's cut out hole is small enough that it will allow me to simplify the build a little bit. The woofer only needs 0.5 cubic feet of space. That should be easy enough.

Hey guys, so I just spoke to Nick at Stereo Integrity and had a nice chat with him. Nick sounds like hes very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. His story about how he started working on this sub was great! He's pretty much in the final stages of working on this thing and the real difference between ItalynStalion's prototype and the actual BM is that the real BM will have Neodymium 10 ring drivers. This also affects weight (the actual BM'S will be quite a bit lighter). Got some more details on pricing and whatnot; The sub will probably not have a pre-order. It will probably have an initial GB or introductory discount pricing. ETA on the release of this sub is around 60 days. Expect introductory pricing to be around 240 + around 15-20 bucks on shipping. Pricing later on to be around 270 + Shipping. (Very competitive IMO since the nearest competing sub is like 550--- so said Nick). Im real excited about this guys, im sure this is going to sound and function great. Specs look great and im sure you all will agree. This effort i think has been going on for a few years now and those of us who have never heard of this are LUCKY to have come in at the very end of its development stages and not had to have waited for it. Can't wait to see some progress Steven.....
