If yo get creative and are good with fiberglass, you should be able to get 4 8s in the front of the car...2 on each side and not touch the floor or the kicks. Really should be able to all of the drivers in front. There is a shit ton of room in the dash on the driver's side.

I think you're missing the point man. The idea of this box is based totally on convenience for the end user and retaining the full functionality of the car. Losing the glove box and fiberglassing it is not something most people want to do. However, picking up a sub enclosure and dropping it into a hole under the trunk carpet is about the easiest thing I can think of.
I've basically got all the bugs worked out and I'm waiting to build a prototype based on which subwoofer will be used. I have a good idea which woofer will be our obvious choice but I need to test it.

nissan/infinity does it with some of there suvs and the bose system. I for one like the idea its awesome for someone who wants a nice sub fill and a little extra umph without looseing space...
If you can get .4 to .6 the I would so rock a Image ID 10 and loosely fill the enclosure with PolyFill. If you can get .5 to .75 then rock a IDQ with PF.

Sorry for the lack of updates guys. I've been trying to get everything together for this enclosure. I think it will really work very well. My whole idea of this box centers around a very very special woofer from Stereo Integrity called the BM. This woofer is just about 3.5" deep and is going to be a force to be reckoned with. It should play flat to about 20hz and sound amazing doing it.
I've been in contact with the owner of Stereo Integrity, Nick, for quite some time and it seems this woofer is on schedule for production very soon. He told me he would try and get a prototype out to me for testing in the box that I'm building for the IS300. Here are some early pictures of the woofer before production.

Hey man, i have a question. I'm trying to put a setup together from scratch and this is what I was thinking about getting together....
Avic-Z110BT
MB Quart PVI 216 in the front and rear (4 spkrs)
AMP--> stilll haven't decided
SUB--> still haven't decided
I've heard that mixing SPL and SQ usually doesn't turn out well. From what I understand, MB quart is SQ and the SUB you have chosen is SPL. Do you think I will have issues with the current setup? Or do you think it will sound good?
On a side note, what amp do you recommend as well? Do i need your baffles to fit the MB quarts into the doors and rear deck?

Thanks buddy,
Hiral
Decent deck, but I'd reconsider on those speakers in two ways. Those aren't quite as good as I'd what I'd like to see you get. And, you don't need rear speakers. Trust me, I've been doing this for a LONG time, you don't need them.
Keep that deck and by just one pair of Focal 165V1's. I know for a FACT that they sound fantastic in the IS300. The way a speaker interacts with it's environment is a big part of the sound that you hear and these worked very very well for me in my IS300.
The sub I'm suggesting is NOT and SPL sub. It's an SQ sub that just does everything very very well. It will play pretty loud but it will sound good doing it too because of the patented XBL^2 motor.
For an amp check out the Kicker 08ZX550.3. It's a 3 channel amp and it would make a perfect system for you. It makes an ideal amount of power at 2ohms for the sub too!
Spend the rest of your money on getting some sound deadener. Put a bunch in your doors properly and seal them up. This will improve your sound 10fold. You might think it's an exaggeration but I speak from experience and I'm telling you this because I want you to have the results that I have had.
If you've got more questions make a separate thread or PM me so we can keep this thread on topic.

No solid specs yet since there was a late revision to optimize the woofer using neo magnets. There is a prototype MkII floating around and I think I'm next in line to test it. I'll give you all the full run down when I get it. The version released will be the MKIII and it will truly be a thing of beauty.
