And yes, it can be hooked up to a stock system with the addition of an amp.

i believe it does not if i remember correct i helped someone find the newer style support/ tool cargo.. you can find them for cheap i think i saw one for 15 bucks the other day..

I have 2 of these subs on the way myself cant wait for them to get here. Going to be perfect for under the seat of my F-150. Id put some in the IS if my whole trunk wasn't already removed. As little airspace as these take i could probably put 4 of them in the same place i've got my 1 diamond TDX.
