I live in Sugar Land, TX...a suburb of Houston, TX. To my peers I'm considered a consultant of sorts. I'm the guy everyone comes to in order to find the best deals on electronics, jewelry and in communicating with vendors for special events. We are actually starting a consulting business in the future (even though I do it unofficially for fun). Anyways...I initially dealt with a saleperson that was your typical fast talking go-getter. I didn't like him at all. I developed a relationship with a saleswoman (internet sales) with the understanding that we are not shopping around. I never shopped around at different dealers because I was so confident I'd get the best deal from her even though everyone suggested that I should. I later found out that no one else would even touch that price. With internet sales people (my brother used to be a manager for the internet at toyota) they can work a better deal with you because they are focused on volume instead of individual cars. There is always more room to deal there. This deal was struck up with a combination of phone conversations, email and in-person visits which came out to be a total of 3 hrs. My brother could not believe that the deal was made. I custom ordered the car because I didn't want the dealership to add unnecessary options and make me pay for it. Well, sorry for the long response...I hope this helps.
My best friend is looking to buy an IS250 and lives in VA. Any way I could get your hookup? She has been itching to buy this car for a year but hasn't found the right deal.
So I walk into the Lexus dealer in North Boston area with my wife to test drive a manual IS250 silver that I saw on an ad, and basically told my sales rep that our budget is $30k and no more. We then test drove IS250 AWD and while we were driving around the lot to look for a specific color, I spotted a black sapphire IS350... I told her, if you can give me a great discount, I will consider the IS350 cause it has everything that we both wanted. I test drove this car and loved it!!! (Of course, my wife and i were like it's too expensive, we have to sell my motorcycle, we have to wait... ) So this is the discount:
07 IS350
Exterior: Black Sapphire Pearl
Interior: Black leather
Luxury Package HID, AFS,18" wheels
Spoiler, Lamp washer, Park assist
memory seats,
voice activated DVD Navigation: 6 cd, mp3
Trunk Mat, net
Wheel Locks
MSRP was around $44,500 and she took off $4800 to
$39,700 out the door. I said, SOLD.
Was this a good deal? I know it's not record breaking but I like the price for the car that I got. My first Lexus and I am very happy with it..
This Lexus dealership was heavily competing with another #1 Lexus dealer and they were def motivated to sell. Plus, I like dealing with woman car sales rep!!
2007 IS 350 White/Black, Luxury + ML + Nav + 18 Inch wheels,
MSRP $45,345, got it for $40,903 (through a broker). Happen to
be looking when they were getting specials on Lexus'.
PM me if you want his info.
Just bought 07 IS350 fully loaded (dvd-nav, levinson, seat memory). Sticker was 46 and I swung 42,5 .... the problem was that the car wasn't on the lot (I didn't want black, too many scratches). If I would have gotten the black sitting on the lot I would have had it for 40,5. Even if it only costs $800 to truck it over for some reason they raise the price $2k

I got this quote with no negotating from the internet sales manager. It's for a 07 IS250 prem package, 18in wheels, HIDs
Price Quoted: $30,487.
Price Quoted with navigation: $32,687.
That's about $150 below invoice. It seems pretty good especially for an initial offer. Do you think I can negoatiate even lower? Kinda looks fishy as if they might try to screw me on extra fees. How much should I expect to pay in feels? I"m in califorina.
Well he is probobly not including dealer prep, dealerholdback, and destination charge. I'm not sure though just ask him what other fee's will be with it.
Ask him for his invoice sheet because the base car is about $1,000 less than edmunds or any other place that reports car's invoice's. I know this because I have seen the invoice sheets of what dealer's pay for these car's. Hope this helps!
