Shopping around for an 08 is350. Since the 09's just came out im looking to get a good deal on a left over 08. So far I found one at my local dealer. It's an 08 is350 demo with 2100 miles, Nav, ML, Luxury pkg clear front bra. **The front bumper was just painted to fix a large scratch**. Sticker price is 45,4445. They quoted me 38,000.
I'd like to know this info too. I'm in the market for a car and am considering the IS 350. I haven't looked into the difference between the '08 and '09 models yet, but under the assumption I'm happy with an '08 and they are still available, I'd like to know what good pricing is.
Still quite a few IS 350s - at least in the DC area

At least here in the DC area, there are quite a few 2008 IS 350s. I've also spoken with a Lexus dealer in Jersey and they themselves have 6 just at their one location.
Most seem to be Silver/Tungsten exterior color, and almost all have the luxury package (which includes Navigation), Headlamp Washers, Parking Assist, and Z1 Preferred Accessory package (wheels locks, trunk mat, cargo net).
I'm looking to hopefully get a 2008 IS 350 in the next few days. If anyone has any thoughts on pricing, please share.
So far, the best price I have had e-mailed to me on the build described in the paragraph above is $37,450 + tax and fees. But I would prefer the sports package rather than the Luxury package (I know of three 2008 IS 350s with this between here and Jersey) and the best price I've had e-mailed to me so far for that one is $38,218. that's for the silver ones, for the color I want (Smokey Gray), it's $38,500.
Hoping to visit some dealers over the next few days to get some final numbers down, but with so many 2008 IS 350s to choose from, I feel I can be a little patient.
I thought I'd post about my current '08 IS 350 search here.
I Had a chance to visit two Lexus Dealers today in the DC area. One of the places was the one who I had my best internet price of $37,450 e-mailed to me from (a first round price that was given). This one was a silver/Tungsten one w/ Luxury Package (which has Navi), Parking Assist, Headlamp Washers, and Dealer Preferred accessories.
After test driving and talking, I got them first down to $500 off, or free XM, and then it become $500 off AND XM. Seemed like there might have still been room to negotiate, but I didn't have any sort of bottom number so it could only go so further.
Then I went to the other dealer and the perk of them is that they had two IS 350s both with the Sports package. - a silver/Tungsten one and a Smoky Grey one. The smoky gray one was the preferred one, but it had a spoiler that I didn't care much for. The best they were going to do was beat the other dealer's best price of $39,950 & XM installed by $100 on this (Slightly) more expensive one.
Both dealers said they would not give me these prices after today. Let's see if that's the case.
Now I'm going to e-mail my best prices to the remaining dealers in the area and see who'll beat it and by how much. If the difference is minimal (within a couple hundred), I'll buy from one of the places I've already visited.
I really want that Smoky Granite Mica one though. That's my perfect car. pretty much all other dealers around here have the same silver/tungsten build w/ luxury package.
Just picked up a new '08 IS350, breakwater blue, for 36.8k. It has sports/nav/washers/access. Initially quoted for 37.3k over the phone because I was 2hrs away from the dealer and he knew I had dealers around me. I think I could've asked them to go lower, ah well. I know there is $2k of dealer cash on the '08 IS350 now.
You have to be crazy to buy a demo car and one of the sales people that I know well told me that too. They are not titled so they sell them as new cars even though they have a few thousand miles on them. And then they take off like $0.25/mi off the MSRP and call it a great deal. So basically, if you find a used '08 with 3000mi it will sell for a LOT less than demo car even though they're in same condition.

...
I'd love a blue but I don't think there are any others around. Seems all I have is black or silver around here. That's why the Smoky Granite Mika is so appealing, seems like a bit of a unique color.
Anyone know when the $2k dealer cash runs out? Both of the dealers I visited today told me that I must buy today or the deal runs out. I was wondering if they were bluffing or if they were serious because of the $2k dealer cash running out.
Thanks for posting your price. I feel better about what seems to be my best price now. But I emailed a few other dealers so let's see how this plays out. There are quite a few 2008 IS 350s to choose from around here still on the lots so I don't feel pressure to buy right now. I just have bit of a limited selection on the sports package though.
Just wanted to let you know I'll be picking up my brand new 08' IS350 starfire pearl LT model with 18" rims on saturday for $37000.00 at Lexus of Greenwich. I was able to get three other dealer also offer me same deal.
Greenwich dealer was best by far gave me the most for my trade and treated me best. I live in westchester and went to dealers in Long Island, NJ, and NY.
Don't be afraid to keep pushing for them to reduce price they need to move those 08 out of there inventory and will work deal with you just keep looking for the right dealership or salesperson, for the first time in long time the consumer has upper hand take advantage of that good look'
why not just save about 14k and buy a used 07 is350 with 35k miles on it? They look the same and will last a long time...
IS 350 are not easy to find, but they are out there the only thing is that used 07' and 08' cost between 33k and 40k depending on miles and option thats why I went for breand new 08' did make much sense to buy used at those prices.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what other good accessories might be to fight for and get thrown into the car? At my current best prices for the two cars I'm considering (described in my quote), if there's not much room to go lower on price, I would like to fight for some stuff. Any thoughts? So far I just have XM included in the mix.
2008 IS 350 bought for $36,850 w/ XM installed but couldhave gotten for $34,500 w/ XM
I thought I'd give an update - I finally bought my 2008 IS 350 today for $36,850 w/ XM included. It's in Smoky Granite Mica w/ Sports Package (which has Navi), Rear lip spoiler, parking assist, headlamp washers, and dealer preferred accessories. There were some other 2008 IS 350s still around in the DC area, but they were all in Silver/Tungsten w/ Luxury Package so I decided to stop waiting and get my preferred car.
But for anyone else still interested in a new 2008 IS 350... when I e-mailed the other dealer I was talking to (Lexus of Annapolis) to let them know that I was sorry, but I went ahead with the sale at the other dealer because they had the car in the color and build I preferred (it was a nice e-mail because Lexus of Annapolis had been really friendly with me and I really did want to buy from them if I could have)...
.... Lexus of Annapolis just replied and said they're sorry it didn't work out too, but they were willing to go as low as $34,500 for getting rid of their 2008 IS 350 Silver/Tungsten w/ Luxury Package.
I still dont' feel too bad because I did prefer the Smoky Granite Mica color and the Sports package, but if anyone likes the Silver Tungsten color w/ luxury package, I suggest giving a Lexus of Annapolis a ring.
