Im looking to gain knowledge of the is300, its the car im looking For..
all I have is around $6,000..and this was rite up my ally in white the color I want ..so what do you think on this description.?

I wouldn't spend 6g's on a car with 131K miles...just saying. If it's what you want then go for it.....

Funny how it states.."READY FOR SNOW" LOL...f ing BS. Any car can be ready for snow if it's equipped with proper tires and "winterized"

Thats not a bad price you should be able to get 6k for it but I would first get a pre purchase inspection done, most dealership or mechanic will charge about 1 hr labor to perform this. Do that first cause the maintence of the vehicle is more important than the looks. See if you can get any service history records you can even contact the dealer where it was serviced and they can give the info also. Don't let the mileage scare you cause this engine is great and will out last the body of the car with proper maintenance. This is my first Lexus and it won't be my last, very dependable cars.

ok i found the craigslist listing for the car. Just from looking at the exterior, even though the engine is more important than the exterior well in this case I am wrong. The exterior tells alot about how the owner keep the vehicle maintained, and from the looks on the pic its very questionable, the first 4 pics are fine its the pic of the rear, there is alot of overspray its even on the lower trunk trim and the taillights, the rim looks like a chunk is missing, plus one taillight is messed up and trunk seems that it has been resprayed or someone removed the badges, the interior looks ripped in the corner and stained, the stick on wood grain is CUTE!

So after seeing these pics I would offer him 5.7K out the door, not unless they will fix the overspray and detail the carpets and replace the taillight, and thats before knowing the prepurchase inspection outcome.

Yea i just bought my 2002 IS300 for $4200 with 108,000 miles. However my dumbass was trying to run against my buddy's GT Mustang and I miss shift and relined and now have a spun bearing... So now I have to fine a place here in El Paso,Tx to get a decent engine... LOL.. Shit happens..

I dont know about you guys, but where I am from if you go to NADA and put in my car (01 124,000) it comes up to clean trade in at $8500, and clean retail $115000. Granted there are like 3 of these in a hundred mile radius, but it shows it holding its value well.

FWIW I gave $6500 TTL out the door.
