Here it is folks, the itinerary for CHI2K9! Keep in mind this is always subject to change, but this is what we're looking at for now...

FYI - I've put all the address talked about in the list below.

Friday September 11th, 2009

- Meet and greet in the hotel parking lot: 3-6 pm
- I figured we can just kinda hang out while people come and get settled in at the hotel. We'll have name tags there so people can start putting screen names to faces, which we all know is a fun thing. (You get to see who the real -Tom- is, be excited)

- Dinner at Hooters: 7 pm
- This gives people time to shower and get ready for the night.

- Here's the time slot we were up for grabs on. We decided the following was best for now... We'll cruise to Durty Nellie's Parking garage after diner.

This is a local, but definitely a big enough bar for us to go to. We needed something for the under age kids, so there's a nice parking garage to hang out in with the cars and to take night pictures. Friday is typically a more chill of a night, so if the bar falls through for many, we can try to test our luck at the hotel parking lot and do a tailgate thing. Early to bed is usually in store, considering many will be driving from hours away and Saturday is a long day.

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

This day really is just playing in by ear, it's whenever we get sick of one thing we can just move to another, everyone will be together by then.

Keep in mind, many people like to wake up early and get breakfast, wash their cars, and gas up for the day. People are more then welcome to plan to do that stuff together, just try to get to the Forrest Preserve at a reasonable time.

- Picnic time: 10 am till whenever
- as of now, our original location was not available, so the permit request is in for a spot that the Forrest Preserve web site says is open.

Picnic time usually consists of the following --
- Drive 25+ IS's to the same location and hang out with people from the internet, who ironically all have the same car... go figure.

But really, it's a good time to really take a look at all of the cars in the sunlight. We have enough parking easily for everyone, so lining all the cars up will look awesome like usual. There's gonna be a bunch of bag sets, so a tournament will be organized. We have a sheltered area with a large field by it as well, so feel free to bring whatever frisbee or other toy you like. I think we're putting a raffle together as well, so you're chance to win free goodies for your IS. There will more than likely be a video being shot too, which is always fun. It's really a fun day, let's all hope for good weather

We will be catering from Portillo's (aka the best food ever, if you think differently, you suck). We're gonna have Italian Beef, Pasta, and bread rolls. Pop (soda, soda pop, whatever you want to call it) will be provided in a kiddie pool, you'll understand when you see it. Please note, we're gonna be asking for $10 or so for food and drink.

The only thing we ask is that everyone refrains from driving like pissed off teenagers (for all your Talladega Nights fans out there). We don't need the ranger officers harassing us while we're around there. This goes pretty much for the whole weekend. I'm talking about burnouts, drifting, donuts, and excessive speeding, that stuff... it wont be tolerated.

- Then after we're sick of the picnic area, the locals can choose a spot to drive to for a daytime photo shoot, could be fun.

- That would more than likely be enough for a day or funtivities, so we can all cruise back to the hotel and hang low and get ready for the night.

- We can plan a time to have everyone meet in the parking lot so we can walk over to John Barley Corn, the bar right across the street from the hotel (good planning huh? This way NO ONE has to drive!)

If there's ranting and raving about not having a strip club on the itinerary, we can absolutely change that. There's nothing all that exciting around where we're staying, and the fact that many of the locals we feel like are under aged, we kept it off the plans for now... please don't kill us.

Have fun, drink up, be safe.

Brunch and goodbyes at Chili's: 11 am

That will pretty much conclude the weekend of fun. Everyone usually tops off their fuel and starts to carpool out of town after that.

Below I'll include the addresses to everywhere I've mentioned so far.

Hotel: Hyatt Summerfield Suites
- 1251 E. american lane, Schaumburg IL, 60173

Bars:
John Barley Corn
- 1100 american lane, Schaumburg IL, 60173 (across from hotel)
Durty Nellie's Pub
- 180 N. Smith Street, Palatine IL, 60067

Hooters:
- 1705 E. Golf Rd. Schaumburg IL, 60173

Deer Grove East Forrest Preserve:
- On the corner of E. Dundee Road and N Pepper Tree Drive, Palatine IL, 60067

Chili's:
- 1480 Golf Rd, Rolling Meadows IL, 60008

I'll include a gas station and a car wash. I figured everyone can appreciate shell gas, and this is the car wash I was told to give out. I know for a fact you can find 10 of each within 5 miles of the hotel.

Shell Gas:
- 2501 N. Meacham Rd. Rolling Meadows IL, 60008

Busy Bee Car Wash:
- 705 W. Higgins Rd. Hoffman Estates IL, 60169

For people who aren't local, don't be afraid of the many different towns I've listed. The area we'll be at is very populated, we're staying within a mile of the second biggest mall in the country (Woodfield Mall), it's a very crowded area less than 20 miles from Chicago. Many people bring their little portable GPS thingys along, I recommend it.

I think I've covered everything. We're within a month of the big weekend, so start finalizing your plans so we get the best possible turnout we can. If you have any questions, I'll be living in this thread from now on.
